As an emerging teacher I support inclusive education because I believe every child have the right to learn in the same environment as their peers I know this can be quite challenging sometime, but all students should be given access to instruction and age appropriate learning
In a truly inclusive setting, every child should feel safe and have a sense of belonging. Inclusive education embraces students of various diverse background, regardless of their challenges and disabilities to be placed in same age-appropriate classroom to receive high quality instruction, intervention, and support that enable them to be successful in the classroom.
What helps teachers to have an inclusive teaching and learning environment for students is when they are flexible and adaptable in their practice. As a teacher I have to consider a wide range of learning modalities like visual, auditory, kinesthetic in designing instruction that will accommodate the diversity of students in my classroom. I am passionate about inclusive education because all students feel they are truly part of learning community.
