Educators values the involvement and supports of parents, guardians, and families and communities in school. Parents and guardian play an important role in the education of their children. At the start of my 391 practicum. I sent a letter home to parents that I will teaching their childrenĀ some of the core subject for three week. Mathematics, English, and Science. I was also involved in the student conference reportĀ where student get to show their learning to their parents.Ā I have used Fresh Grade in my practicum to communicate to parents of what the students be learningĀ and I shared the activities done in class with parents.
In my final teaching practicum, I intentionally sought to increase my experiences with fostering effective relationships as part of my professional growth plan. Ā I chose to continue with my coaching Teacherās Classroom News as a means to communicate and strengthen rapport with parents and students by documenting what was currently happening in the classroom, notices about upcoming projects and events, and individual message with parents and guardian. Additionally, I sent out weekly summary of what doing are doing each week and acknowledge fantastic helpers of the day. Ā The learning journal of the week also helps parents to see what their children are working on for the week. I have meetings with parents to monitor their children progress and provide materials that will support their childās learning at home. Ā It was great to see growth with students after few weeks when they practice for example letter in students. I believe the weekly Classroom New increased bridge of trust between home and the school.
